| * Active Substance: Human Albumin. The product contains 200 g/l protein (at least 95% albumin) produced from human plasma. | ||
| * Excipients: | ||
| & Sodium caprylate 16 mmol/l + Sodium acetyltryptophanate 16 mmol/l + Sodium ions: 100-130 mmol/l + | ||
| & Sodium chloride 3.0 g/l + Water for injection ad 1 l. | ||
| * Do not use if the solution is cloudy (turbid) or contains a deposit. | ||
| * Once the container has been opened the contents must be used immediately. | ||
| * Do not store above 25 degrees C. Do not freeze. Store in the original package to protect from light. | ||
| * What is Human Albumin 200 g / l Baxter is and What it is used for: | ||
| & This medicine is a plasma protein and belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group of plasma | ||
| & substitutes and plasma protein fractions. Plasma is the fluid in which in which blood cells are | ||
| & suspended. | ||
| & This medicine is used for restoration and maintenance of circulating blood volume in medical | ||
| & conditions where there is not enough blood volume, and use of a colloid is appropriate. | ||
| & The choice of albumin rather than an artificial substitute will depend on the clinical situation | ||
| & of the individual patient, based on official recommendations. | ||
| * Do not use Human Albumin 200 g / l Baxter: | ||
| – If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to human albumin or any of the other ingredients of | ||
| & Human Albumin 200 g / l Baxter. | ||
| * Take special care with Human Albumin 200 g / l Baxter: | ||
| – If you have allergic reactions, since the infusion will have to be stopped by your doctor | ||
| & or nurse. In case of shock, standard medical treatment for shock should be implemented. | ||
| – If you have: | ||
| . decompensated heart failure. | ||
| . high blood pressure. | ||
| . esophageal varices (swelled veins in the esophagus). | ||
| . pulmonary oedema (fluid on the lungs). | ||
| . a tendency to spontaneous bleeding. | ||
| . severe anemia (lack of red blood cells). | ||
| . no urine formation. | ||
| & inform your doctor so that he/she can take appropriate precautions. | ||
| & When medicines are made from human blood or plasma, certain steps are put in place to | ||
| & prevent infections being passed on to patients. These include careful selection of blood | ||
