* Pharmacological Properties:
Sodium hyaluronate is a physiological substance which is found in the eye and also in other parts of the body. The particular physical characteristics of sodium hyaluronate confer to LUBRIVISC its “visco-elastic” and water retaining properties. Sodium hyaluronate displays special physical properties which result in a stable and long-lasting film on the surface of the outer eye without being rinsed away immediately or impairing vision. In this way the eye is protected for a long time against irritations and the sensation of dry eyes as e.g. contact lens users complain. LUBRIVISC makes wearing hard and soft contact lenses more comfortable without forming crusts or deposits.
* Indications:
Sensation of dryness and other minor complaints of no pathological significance, as well as burning and ocular fatigue induced for example by dust, smoke, dry heat, air conditioning, extended computer screen use, intra-ocular operations, or contact lens wear.
* Dosage & Administration:
Apply one drop of LUBRIVISC in each eye 3 times daily, or as recommended by the ophthalmologist. LUBRIVISC may also be used while wearing contact lenses (rigid or soft).
There is no limit to the duration of treatment with LUBRIVISC.
* Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
