Nasacort AQ: Targeted Relief for Nasal Symptoms

Nasacort AQ is a nasal spray that provides effective relief from nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy nose associated with allergic rhinitis. Each dose delivers 55 micrograms of triamcinolone acetonide, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the nasal passages. It is formulated as a nasal spray suspension for targeted action against allergy symptoms.

Indications

Nasacort AQ is specifically designed to treat the nasal symptoms of allergic rhinitis, which include sneezing, nasal itching, and blocked or runny nose. It is suitable for both seasonal and perennial allergies.

Dosage and Method of Use

• Adults and Children Over 12 Years: The usual starting dose is 2 sprays in each nostril once daily. Once symptoms improve, the dose can be reduced to 1 spray in each nostril daily.
• Children Aged 6–12 Years: The usual dose is 1 spray in each nostril once daily. If symptoms persist, the dose can be increased to 2 sprays in each nostril daily, then reduced back to 1 spray once symptoms improve.
• Children Aged 2–5 Years: The usual dose is 1 spray in each nostril once daily.
• Important Note: Do not use Nasacort AQ for more than 3 months in children under 12 years of age. It is not recommended for use in children under 2 years old.

Shelf Life After Opening

Once opened, the 30-spray pack should be used within 1 month, and the 120-spray pack should be used within 2 months. Adhering to these timelines ensures the efficacy and safety of the product.

Storage and Packaging

Nasacort AQ should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Each spray bottle contains at least 120 sprays, ensuring consistent and effective relief from nasal symptoms.
