* Windipine (Amlodipine besylate) 10 mg 30 tablets. Oral use. Winthrop Medicaments.

* Composition: Each tablet contains:

& Amlodipine besylate 14 mg (Equivalent to amlodipine 10 mg).

* It is long-acting dihydropyridine calcium antagonist.

* Indications:

– Hypertension: It may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents.

– Chronic stable angina: it may be used alone or in combination with other anti-anginal agents.

– Vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal’s or Variant Angina): it may be used alone or in combination with other anti-anginal agents.

* Dosage:

– Adults: the usual initial oral dose is 5 mg once daily with a maximum dose of 10 mg once daily.

– Children (6-17 years): effective dose is 2.5 mg to 5 mg once daily.

* Not to be used without medical supervision.

* Store at temperature not exceeding 30 degrees C, in a dry place.
