* Indications: for the treatment of peptic ulcer, vertigo of various origins & psychiatric conditions.
* Dosage:
# For peptic ulcer:
– Initial treatment: 100 mg 3 times daily for days.
– Maintenance treatment: 50 mg 3 times daily for 3 weeks.
# For vertigo of various origins: 300-900 mg per day.
# For psychiatric conditions:
– 200-400 mg twice; max. 800 mg daily in predominantly negative symptoms, and 2.4 gm daily in mainly positive symptoms.
– Elderly, lower initial dose, increased gradually according to response.
– Child under 14 years not recommended.
* Contra-Indications:
– Hypersensitivity to the product.
– In porphyria.
– Comatosed patients.
– CNS depression.
– Phaeochromocytoma.
– Pregnancy and breast feeding.
– Children under 6 years.
– Congenital galactosemia.
* Store at Room Temperature.
